How we check every phone
Every second hand and unboxed phone at Harsh Apple Store is checked in our shop on Sultanwind Road, Amritsar, before it is listed. Its battery health, condition grade and box contents are written on the listing, so you know what you are buying before you pay.
This page lists what we test, what we tell you, and how to check any phone yourself, whether you buy it from us or not.
What we test before listing
- Battery health read from Settings and written on the listing
- Face ID or Touch ID, cameras, speakers and microphones tested
- Screen, touch and True Tone checked; marks noted honestly
- IMEI checked against the box or bill where available
- Find My iPhone and iCloud signed out before sale
- Charging and buttons tested
Condition grades explained
- Sealed New
- Brand new and sealed in the original box, with the manufacturer's warranty.
- Unboxed
- Box opened, phone unused or barely used. Near-new condition for less than sealed.
- Pre-owned A
- Used, with light signs of use at most. Fully working, battery health listed.
- Pre-owned B
- Used, with visible marks on the body or frame but fully working, at a lower price.
What every listing tells you
- The condition: sealed new, unboxed, or pre-owned with grade A or B
- The battery health reading for that exact phone, where the phone reports one
- What comes in the box, and whether the original bill is available
- Any marks on the body or screen, described plainly
- Today's price, or a note to ask for it on WhatsApp

We are an independent retailer. We describe a phone as refurbished only when parts were replaced, and we tell you which ones.
Questions and answers
What should I check before buying a second hand iPhone?
- Check five things: battery health in Settings, Face ID or Touch ID, the screen and True Tone, the IMEI (dial *#06# and match it to the box or bill), and that Find My iPhone and iCloud are signed out. Also test the cameras, speakers, microphone and charging port before you pay.
What battery health is good for a used iPhone?
- Above 85% is good for everyday use, and 90% or more feels close to new. Below about 80%, most people notice shorter battery life and a battery replacement is worth budgeting for. We show the battery health reading for every pre-owned iPhone on its listing, so you know before you visit.
Do you give a bill and warranty with used iPhones?
- Each pre-owned listing shows whether a bill is available for that exact phone, along with any warranty we know of. Ask us on WhatsApp before you buy and we will confirm the bill and warranty details for the phone you choose, so there are no surprises at the counter.
Can I see the phone before I buy it?
- Yes. Visit our shop on Sultanwind Road to hold the phone and check it yourself, or ask on WhatsApp and we will show you the exact unit on a video call. Every listing shows the real condition, grade and battery health of that phone, not a generic photo.
